since the start

From the start, the association has been run by its own residents rather than a management company, and nearly every home is owner-occupied.

The tennis courts are here because the first homeowners insisted on them when the builder tried to leave them out.

Trash and recycling go out on Tuesdays, and the community's snow plow minimum is 3 inches.

The tennis courts

The original plans included tennis courts. As the last homes went up, the builder said the "Courts" in Courts of Crofton only meant the cul-de-sacs.

The young HOA hired a lawyer and threatened to sue. Woodbridge paid, and the HOA had the courts designed and built.

Residents can book a court online.
